145 St Harlem April 2008

Had brunch with Adam and Geraldine at the IHOP at 135th St and Adam Clayton Powell Blvd and decided to take pictures of 145th St. I had passed the Jesus Taco place on the bus and decided to take a closer look. 145th St is one of the main thoroughfares of Harlem and looks like a typical Manhattan street of the 1950's and earlier. Give it another decade or so though, and the onrushing wave of destruction will reach here too and the street will become wall to wall glass boxes like the former Yorkville has become.
