Still a crappy neighborhood but with less garbage than I remember. About 2 miles past the last subway. I rode the train to the end of the line to take some pictures of the last stop on the Fulton St EL (now the A train) at Lefferts Boulevard and hopped on the bus to see if the house still stood and to take some pictures. When my daughter was a toddler, she would sometimes wait near the door for me to come home from work and throw her arms around my legs and give me a kiss.
