Mermaid Parade June 2007
Will this be the last mermaid parade after Thor Equities has flattened half of Coney Island to build luxury high rises? Or will they sponsor future parades consisting of BMW's and SUV's. Is New York fated to become indistinguishable from Duluth or Oshkosh? They are going to kill the goose that laid the golden egg because who would bother comming here if the city was no different from any other?
